This past year has been wonderful in terms of literature. We had so many great books to read. And 2020 wouldn’t be any less and we have high hopes. There are some books which are a must reads. Then there are some amazing sequels coming out as well. Some debut writers are also ready to show their talent. Obviously it is so difficult to decide on good ones that wouldn’t disappoint us so, we have made this easier for you. We have made a list of some excellent releases which are coming out throughout this year. Moreover, we have made this list at random. No ranking whatsoever! So shall we start about the best books of 2020?
The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty (The Daevabad Trilogy Book #3)
This the third and last book in the famous series of The Daevabad Triology. It will come out on 30th June 2020. In this final installment a con woman and a djinn joins hands to save their kindgom from a Civil War because Daevabad has fallen. If you haven’t read this series, read it asap so that you read this final book right after its release. It is a YA fanstasy series.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
This book is already pretty hyped up in the bookish community. If you read books, then you would have reas The Hunger Games series written by the same author. Well, guess what? This book is set 64 years before Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, when people of Panem had witnessed their tenth Hunger games. We are so excited! It is a dystopian sci-fi fiction which will surely fall under the best books category of 2020.
Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams (Book # 2)
This book is a sequel to The Bromance Book Club, which was released in 2019. It will come out on 10th March 2020. If you have read the first book then you would know that we have a funny, witty and astoundingly dashing side character named Braden Mack. Truth be told, we all loved him so we will get his side of the story in this second installment. Excited much? It is a contemporary romance.
Woven In Moonlight by Isabel Ibañez
This book would come out on 7th January 2020. It is a blend of rich fanstasy inspired by Bolivian history and politics with just a right touch of magic. It has ghosts, princess, and a bad ass female protagonist. Sounds like a total package, right? It is YA fanstasy.
We Free the Stars by Hafsah Faizal (Sands of Arawiya Book # 2)
Nasir and Zafeera have restored magic in Arawiya but things are not that easy. There is this lion who is on the loose and he has Altair with him. This is the second and final chapter in the series. It will come out on 20th May 2020. We will certainly have a lot mind blowing twists and heart breaks on end and we can’t wait! It is a YA fanstasy which can be counted among the best book of 2020.
A Taste of Sage by Yaffa S. Santos
This is the debut work of the author. It is heartwarming rom-com book about chefs, self-love, self-discovery and love. We found all these things quite exciting. Moreover we don’t get to read much about chefs so this is a WIN WIN!
No Going Back by Sheena Kamal (Nora Watts # 3)
This is the third book by the author starring Nora Watts. She is a brilliant, fearless and a gray characters who has a personal vendatta against some people. She has thing to see under people’s skin. This is a thriller and we are so excited to read because the author has written some brilliant books before. And our hopes are high! It will come out on 14th April 2020.
Dreamland by Nancy Bilyeau
This is a historical mystery and romance fiction. It will come out on 16th January 2020. Peggy Batternberg is invited to spend her summer holidays in America’s playground in the year 1911. Albiet she is not social type and would rather spend her holidays in a bookstore in her hometown. But she is rather compelled to go there. We are excited to read about her journey.
Elysium Girls by Kate Pentecost
In this fanstasy book, we will see a ten year game between Death and Life which is going on in Oklahoma, the city of Elysium. We will also see a gang of witches and a demon. The latter yearns to be a human. Sounds like a wonderful read. Will it be able to make it to the category of the best books of 2020?
Strike Me Down by Mindy Mejia
The book is coming out on 7th April 2020. Moreover, it is a thriller by an author of Leave no Trace. We are excepting a lot since the writer is famous for her nail biting and page-turning stories and this piece of art has high expectation to be included in the category of best books of 2020. The story is about an accountant who is searching about some missing money.
